Effective April 1, 2026, the old garbage dump is officially closed to all traffic.

Cameras will be in place — please respect the closure and

do not engage in illegal dumping.

Let’s all do our part to Be Stewards of the Land —

honoring and protecting it for future generations.

This site, identified as a contaminated area, will be reclaimed this summer through efforts supported by Indigenous Services Canada.

As reclamation plans are finalized, updates will be shared with the community.
