Chief Evan B.G. Taypotat

I’m the son of Iris Taypotat and Morley Watson, grandson of Albert and Marjorie Taypotat and Ivan and Jeanette Watson. I was raised by Denton and Beatrice George of Ochapowace Nation. I have served as a soldier in the Canadian Forces and as CKCS principal.

I am dedicated to the fight to honour and implement our Treaty and inherent rights, and believe our Nation’s future successes lie in its progression.

Councillor Cory D. Alexson

I’m the son of Myrna Buffalo (Daystar) and Roy Alexson (Kahkewistahaw), and my siblings are Deanna, Leighton, Lance, Adrian and Trey. I grew up in Regina and Saskatoon.

I believe quality community and social development programming will strengthen the future health of our children and generations to come. I am proud of the return of our Kahkewistahaw children, our drug and community engagement strategy, and our sports development.

Councillor Michael K. Bob

I am the son of Faith and Bernard Bob. I have lived on the Kahkewistahaw First Nation all of my life, except during my time at the University of Regina. I have served on KFN Council since 1993.
I have seen considerable change in how our First Nation has developed and progressed, and I am proud of our progress in land claims and economic development.

Councillor Iris M. Taypotat-Scribe

My parents are Marjorie and Albert Taypotat. I have worked in childcare and education within Crooked Lake Agency, and have been a member of the Kahkewistahaw Health Committee and the Ochapowace & Kahkewistahaw Home Care Board.

I am proud to serve as a councillor, and will always make good decisions for our KFN members as a mother and kokum.

Councillor William C. Kaysaywaysemat

I spent many years living in Ottawa and working for INAC in Quebec. I have been employed in various positions for KFN, including education coordinator, housing coordinator, and chair of Kahkewistahaw 1907 Trust.

I appreciate my responsibilities as Councillor and will serve as a voice of our members.
